Doesn't the photo call for "Christmas Carol" at Cannes look like the most fun event EVER? Fake snow! In France! In the spring!
Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey certainly seem to be enjoying it... now if only they'd had a fake snowball fight too...

"The Antichrist" in Cannes.
Yesterday, the Wim Wenders film Palermo Shooting braved a rainy premiere at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival. And now, we have so much to talk about. Let's get to it!
French actress Lou Doillon. The wind caught the skirt of her dress and the world got a glimpse of perfection (and we don't mean that in a naughty way). How incredible does she look!? These photos of her are gasp-worthy. In the best way.
Brigitte Fossey. At least change out of your nightgown before hitting the red carpet. Thank you.
Milla Jovovich wore a dress that was so unique and had so much detail. A wonderfully crafted piece. We loved looking at it but, in truth, didn't like it as much as this little number, which wouldn't have been glam enough for the premiere, we do realize. (She's still way fabu, though.)
Kerry Washington, has anyone told you how beautiful you are? Kerry looked breathtaking in a deep purple gown with a train that should have come with a footman or two (scantily clad, abs-baring, preferred). Stunning.
And then, to our great joy/continued bafflement, there was Phoebe Price, dressed like a Las Vegas lounge "patron" who wandered her way into the set of an Ashland, Oregon staging of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Or maybe she actually had to drop out of a tree to make her way onto the red carpet. That would explain the leaf antennae.
Dennis Hopper, lookin' sharp. We missed photos of your wife, though. She's a looker.
Also, some gal named Lio wore a Sprite-colored dress, lined with lazy hieroglyphics, and a "cookie monster" expression on her face. Loves it.
80+ fabulous photos of the premiere!

Let's Talk Palermo Shooting.
If you love gowns and fashion galore, this has been a good week for you.
Today, the stars stepped out yet again in France, but this time for a great cause.
The gussied up celebrities walked the red carpet for the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS 2008 event at Le Moulin de Mougin.
Attendees included Mary J. Blige and Kendu Isaacs, Eva Herzigova (in a less distressing dress), Mila Jovovich showing off her post baby bod in a super bright leg-revealing number (we really dig this unexpected color combo), Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson, the Madonna, Rose McGowan looking like she was attacked by fabric, Petra Nemacova, Elsa Pataky in the same dress Bar Refaeli wore a few days earlier, Natalie Portman wearing the decapitated version of Bjork's swan dress (kidding, Nat, we love this), Sharon Stone in leopard print and stripper heels (and carrying Kenneth Cole. The Kenneth Cole), and Dita Von Teese looking sultry in a super-saturated, super rich blue gown.
100+ fashion fabu photos in the gallery.

amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS.
Madonna brought out the big lashes for the premiere of her documentary I Am Because We Are (a.k.a. Guerrilla). Madge wrote, produced*, and narrated the film about Malawi orphans who lost their parents to AIDS. The film also follows the efforts of Madonna's Raising Malawi charity in the African country.
We're not used to seeing Madonna show much emotion, but she looked rather proud at the premiere. Rightly so, say we! She smiled and batted her lashes with husband Guy Richie and friend Sharon Stone.
Also in attendance, Naomi Campbell with Christopher Rocancourt, the unfortunately named Vahina Giocante, ever-suave Benicio Del Toro, Mike Tyson?, a totally gorgeous gal in a totally gorgeous dress Sonia Rolland, Michelle Yeoh, Natalie Portman, Diego Maradona, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Estelle Lefebure, P. Diddy, Doutzen Kroes (in the same dress we spotted Bar Refaeli modeling on Cavalli's yacht), and Eva Herzigova... in that.
Massive photo gallery of the event follows!

Madonna Bats Lashes at Cannes.
Um, earth to Angelina: I know Brad is much older than you, and the water retention is probably messing with your head, but mistaking Clint Eastwood for your hubby on the red carpet in Cannes on Tuesday is a little much!
Jokes aside, a wide range (and we mean A-listers all the way to D-listers) dressed to the nines for the premiere of Clint's film Changeling.
Keep an eye out for these freaks in our photo set: Nick Nolte (sporting an unwieldy beard), Phoebe Price (Cannes freak of the year, wearing tight white satin), Dita Von Teese (in a green satin number), Cliff Richard (in an oddly short black tie, with a lady in an equally weird long white, bell-shaped dress) and Victoria Silvstedt (um, Botox much, Victoria?)
Here's our tally of the upper echelon in attendance: Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Clint and Dina Eastwood and Sharon Stone (in a flowy gown -- we were tempted to put her on the freaks list, but declined the urge).
In-betweeners: Emma de Caunes (wearing a short white dress with a Trekkie-inspired collar), her father Antoine de Caunes, Judith Godreche (in black satin and red platform sandals), Bernard Montiel (and girlfriend in a short navy number with black open toe heels), Sam Riley and Alexandra Maria Lara (looking all couple-y in silver and black), Corinne Touzet (in leopard print!), Natalia Vodianova (in bright orange and pink, she looks like a Big Stick popsicle) and Michelle Yeoh (sparkling in creme gown).

Clint Gets More Than He Bargained For at Premiere.
Attention Chris Martin. Fashion designer Valentino is moving in on your lady.
Or not.
But... maybe.
Gwyneth Paltrow walked hand in hand with the Valentino down the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of Two Lovers. We think the film's title made this scene all the more
Vinessa Shaw, Julie Gayet, P. Diddy, and Gerald Dahan were also in attendance.

Ms. Sultry herself, Monica Bellucci, was joined by Alessio Boni, Luca Zingaretti, and Marco Tullio Giordana today at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes for the photocall of Une Histoire Italienne.
Her dress is a little more formal than those we've seen at previous Cannes photocalls this week, but we certainly won't hold it against her. After all, it does look fantastic. Like an evil wedding cake. A delicious, evil wedding cake.
We look forward to seeing how she'll step up the glam for the film's premiere.

Monica Bellucci Answers the Call to Photos.
We're guessing that at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival, the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull premiere was the most coveted ticket in town.
Cate Blanchett brought out all her best moves AGAIN. How she does it time after time, we do not know. Probably the same sort of wizardry involved in Penelope Cruz's hair.
Paz Vega channeled old Hollywoodland glamour and pulled it off completely.
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart as a couple make us happy.
We don't know quite what Linda Evangelista was doing at the event, but we're glad she came because she looked fabu and wore the totally Indie-appropriate snake bracelet (clever, Ms. Evangelista, very clever).
We love Salma Hayek, but she was looking a bit like a milk maid at prom (blame the braid... or the boobs).
Also there, Natalie Portman, Maria Menounos, an underdressed Kelly Brook and Billy Zane, Adrian Brody and Elsa Pataki, Vincent Cassel, Rachael Leigh Cook and her hairy beau, Dean Cain (huh), Dennis Hopper & fam, George Lucas and his smokin' hot lady, Ophelie Winter, Ray Winstone, Jeff Vespa, Christian Slater, John Hurt, Aishwarya Rai (looking much brighter than she did here), Mathieu Kassovitz, the lovely Goldie Hawn, and more!
Star Jones showed up and confused us again. At least Phoebe Price didn't manage to limbo her way under the velvet rope and make it into this event.
We have 100+ photos of the event!

Indiana Jones Premieres, Stars Bring Fashion A-Game.
We are writing you this letter to let you know (in case no one has told you) that you are very pretty.
Sincerely,
-BGO
On Saturday, the oh so beautiful Penelope Cruz stepped out at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival for the photocall and subsequent premiere of the Woody Allen flick Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
How does her hair manage to be so voluminous? We're going to assume there's wizardry involved.
Also in attendance to confuse us, Star Jones and the real Sarah Marshall.
Click any image to see photos from the photocall and the evening's premiere (we really like Ophelie Winter's dress from the front, less so from the back).

Dear Penelope Cruz.
We're sure that's what's going on here. Yup. Absolutely.
Yesterday, a selective spattering of cast and creative crew of the much anticipated Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out to Cannes to let us take their pictures.
Now, this is a very special bunch of people. So, naturally, simply smiling was not in the cards.
- Cate Blanchett pulled a Mariah Carey with the sunglasses on the red carpet bit.
- Shia Labeouf appears to be giving her (or someone) the stink eye.
- Steven Spielberg and George Lucas got all cuddly in the good name of bearded filmmakers (is there another type?).
- Harrison Ford kept his awesome arms under wraps (boooo) and just made silly faces.
- And Ray Winstone pressed pause midway into his wolfman metamorphosis. Fancy.
Whew. Check out the great pics if you love Indie & Friends.

Shia Labeouf Gives Blanchett the Stink Eye.
If memory serves us, there was a time when b-listers such as Star Jones and Jean-Claude Van - Damn, he's looking old - Damme wouldn't dare attempt a red carpet walk at the coveted annual Cannes Film Festival in France.
With random Kung-Fu Pandas and red carpet glutton Phoebe Price on the scene, the floodgates have opened to wannabes, publicity seekers and desperate divorcees. Incidentally, Ms. Jones fits all of these descriptors.
Also odd: Sean Penn walked the same red carpet event -- the Un Conte de Noel premiere on Friday -- as ex Oscar Awards date, model Petra Nemcova. Didn't he just make up with his wife Robin Wright? We caught him sans wifeypoo earlier this week, too.
Other red carpet randoms pictured: Patrick Poivre d'Arvor, Denise Rich, Sam Riley, Alexandra Maria Lara, Jean-Claude Van Damme's wife Gladys Portugues, his daughter Bianca and son Kristopher Van Varenberg.
Non randoms: Bono and Catherine Deneuve
By the way, Jean-Claude is getting a bit too cozy for comfort with his son, don't you think? Move over Hulk Hogan, here comes homo-erotic dad Damme!

When Did Cannes Get So Strange? .
We're kidding, of course.
At tonight's Kung Fu Panda premiere at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival, Caucasian Bai Ling Phoebe Price showed up and solidified our basis for all of this.
Now that we've wiped the vomit from our chins:
In actual news, the premiere was magical. Look. At. Angelina. Jolie.
Incredible.
Also in attendance? Brad Pitt (swoon). Jack Black... aight. Rachael Leigh Cook and a furry Daniel Gillies. Eva Longoria wearing Bjork's swan dress refashioned into an actual gown. Mary Hart. Natalie Imbruglia. Eye candy Aishwarya Rai (whose dress kinda let us down, to be honest). Amanda Sthers (say how?). George Lucas totally worked it. Lucy Liu. Dustin Hoffman with his shirt on. And Sergio Castellitto.
Shazam!
Enjoy the ha-uge gallery of photos (tons of Brangelina pics!).

Angelina Who? Phoebe Price Attends Panda Premiere.
Way to kick things off with a bang!
Tonight, the stars walked the red rug for the premiere of Blindness at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival.
Cate Blanchett gives Hollywoodland a lesson in glamour perfection.
That said, looking flawless becomes a bit easier for Cate when she's competing with Mischa Barton's death lips and Faye Dunaway's Ghostbusters librarian hair.
Eva Longoria made us go into fits of pleasure with her aqua gown.
Julianne Moore left us scratching our heads.
But really. It was your night, Blanchett. Way to take it.
94 glam-filled photos in the gallery!
