Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees died today after a long battle with colon and liver cancer at the age of 62. He was hospitalized last month with pneumonia.
The Bee Gees were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, known for such hits as Stayin' Alive and Night Fever. The success of their songs between the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and their album, Spirits Having Flown earned them six consecutive number one singles "making the Bee Gees the only group in pop history to write, produce and record that many consecutive chart-topping singles," according to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
