The story you tell Of Jim Carrey speaking with the musician spoke volumes about his character and especially the way he has managed to keep it real.I can totally relate to his wanting to experience the real connection that reassures us,we are all worthy, nobody is unimportant,or less than we are.I'm sure the lunch with your friend meant as much to him.
I grew up in Ottawa the same time Jim Carrey grew up in Toronto,I am confident we had some same life lessons and I am happy for him he hasn't forgotten them.
Environment is every thing and nothing.
When Carrey first became popular, I didn't see the appeal. Then a guy I went all through school with worked on a film with Carrey. Chris was a musician and not an actor or anyone considered 'important' on the film. Chris had cancer and Carrey showed up at his door one day with lunch. He sat and ate and talked to him for a while. It changed my whole view of him. I just know he will be one loving grandparent.
What an awesome Granddaddy. He is really hands on. Jim C is such a great guy.
It is wonderful to have a grandson or grand-daughter. I know how that feels it is different from your own child-it is something only a grandparent can relate too...
Good luck and many blessings on the new grandbaby.
