Pondering John Mayer's... Pockets

John Mayer returned to Los Angeles today, accompanied by a lady friend (notice the space, intended to reduce implication).

We're kind of intrigued by those bizarre pockets on John's pants.  They are pockets, right?  Also, yes.  We are using them to distract from the truth of our having stared at his crotch-al regions.
