If anyone had been paying attention one would understand Madonna's reason for wanting to adopt this little girl. Her and David were in the same orphanage and these two children share a bond. Which Madonna has documented in Raising Malawi. So no, she did not just show up and pick a cute little girl to extend her family. And for those who defend the father and the grandmother, they CAN'T provide for the little girl which is why she has lived in the orphanage all these years.

How on earth can you say with a straight face, the father suddenly appears? See this is why this adoption should not have gone through in the first place. The father has always been there. Madonna with her selfish, sick self, has not done anything since she had David to continue the continuity of ties with his people or even his father who still is alive. Understandably, the father wanted better for his son and he agreed, yet torn, if you go back and read with comprehension, that he would allow Madonna to adopt his son. What has Madonna done in the meantime. Has she made sure that this child can communicate with his people in his own language? She sure had the means to do that. When he met his father for the publicity photo that is a prerequiste to be in Madonna's life, the first theing he uttered was "Hello-Who are you?" that tells the story right there. Madonna has done nothing, nothing to make sure this child even knows his own blood. Sickening and she still does not understand. I agree with the other poster, Madonna is a sick woman.

Madonna is a sick individual and I'm very happy she didn't get her hands on Mercy. Her other children have fathers that are devoted to their children. This poor little girl would be stuck with Madonna. And Mercy's father was in high school when his girlfriends parents ran him off. He was just a kid; he's still just a kid but he deserves to have his daughter and she deserves her father. Money doesn't make you happy. If it did Madonna wouldn't be buying another child. If she wants to help these children so badly then she should send them financial aid with out her cult strings atached.

Madonna is free to adopt in the US. If she is that special; the US laws can be changed to accomadate her desires. Because the little girl's grandmother has always opposed the adoption; the father can stop it by
using his parental rights. By the way 900 million people
live in Africa and in spite of reports in the western
media many millions have happy and productive lives.
Madonna should go buy a handbag.

It is heartwarming that Guy Ritchie shows his affection for David Banda. It wasn't long after his adoption that Guy and Madonna split up. He could have detached from David and left it at that. He didn't, and that's wonderful for the little guy. And, the big Guy deserves some credit and respect.

Now I want to know where did this father come from, all this time he was no where in sight and now he pops up. Give me a break,who do they think buys that bull. It's a shame this child has become a pond for some official.

Madonna has done a great job at raising her daughter Lourdes,and son they are well rounded children,the pedophiles are right in our backyards. I feel that the courts should rule, but each adoptive parent should be viewed differently. Madonnas life is an open book the media is good at keeping her accountable. David seem to be very happy with his adoptive mother. I feel that Madonna is making the right decision to adopt a sibling for David that has some commonality.

Its not that they believe she's better off in an orphanage. Here is the reality.... if they bend their rule of requiring any prospective adopter to live in the country for a year so that the care of the child can be observed, and instead allow any wealthy person who gives them money for this or that to come in, grab a child and leave.... than whats to stop a big rich pedophile or someone needing a "servant" from coming in, adopting a "lucky" baby and whisking it off to an unknown life. You don't get to bend the rules. And frankly.....Madonna's kids are taken care of by nanny's. Getting to have a life filled with 'stuff' does not mean a healthy or happy childhood.

It's funny how the father suddenly appears. Where was he when his child needed him.
I am appaled these human rights group honestly believes that this little girl would be better off in the orphanage than with Madonna. Have they seen what happens to little girls like that in poor and undeveloped countries like Malawi?
