Before there was Brad Pitt... there was Paul Newman.
Before there was Tom Cruise... there was Paul Newman.
Yeah, Newman was all charitable with his food line. A family man who was true to his wife of 50 years, Joanne Woodward. And sure, he was pretty talented... also adventurous with a love of race car driving.
But I have something else to mourn here: Never before (and likely not after) have the forces of the universe created such a perfect speciman. Beverly Hills' most talented plastic surgeons couldn't use their scalpals to carve the perfection that was Paul Newman's every feature. (And I'm talking about young-to-middle-aged Newman, people. For an old guy, he was handsome, but young Newman... there's really nothing that compares, is there?)
Just look through these photos to drink in the most beautiful man in the history of the world... who we have lost.

Classic Paul Newman photos by GARY LEWIS

Very sad loss indeed. He was a great man and you are right, gorgeous. I miss Butch Cassidy already. =/
Paul Newman was indeed the most gorgeous man of my lifetime. He was not only beautiful to look at and dream about but he had a heart of gold. His loyalty, honor and quiet generosity far exceeded than of any human being of his embodiment. He truly left his mark on the world. The Lord smiled on him and said "job well done Paul, welcome home".
