Charlton Heston just can't catch a break lately.
Sharon M. Walker has been arrested by Los Angeles police and charged with embezzling more than $725,000 from the accounts of Heston and producer Stephen Cannell.
Walker, an account manager for an unnamed business firm, is facing charges of grand theft, forgery and filing false tax returns, according to Deputy District Attorney Marisa Zarate.
Heston was unavailable for comment, but we'd like to believe he'd say something like, "Take your stinking paws off my money, you damned, dirty ape! You can have my cash when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!"
