Rehabbed rock legend Eddie Van Halen was spotted in high spirits (not high on spirits) yesterday as he departed from Los Angeles International Airport with the obligatory hot chick. We assume he was heading for faaaaaaaabulous Reno, Nevada where the band has a concert today.
C'mon, TSA. Did you really think Eddie was a threat? Or, were you just jonesing to touch greatness?

He was arrested in 1995 or so for having a gun on a commercial flight. 9mm in his carry on. Standard to search someone who has that.

I am soooo excited that the tour is back on! I live in UTAH and in January I purchased tix to fly to Atlantic City for the show March 28th, My 50th Birthday!! I was bummed that it did not happen, but now that its back on, having to pay the an additioanl $75 fee for my airfare WILL be worth it. SEE YOU MAY 9th!!!!
One thing I've always admired about Eddie is that though he's probably worth hundreds of millions of dollars, he still looks like an everyday guy in the way he dresses. Best wishes, Eddie!

I correct the fella ahead of me whom stated ed was busted for carrying a 9mm onto a plane. I read it was a .25 cal handgun NOT a 9mm. Go figure... And I don't blame him.
