Shia Labeouf Skips Court for AA Meeting?

Eventually, Labeouf's attorney showed up on his behalf. But what was keeping Shia out of court?

Well, around dusk, we spotted Shia leaving an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at an L.A. area church. (The particular variety of AA meeting was titled, seriously, "No Losers." Indeed!) Was he there to seek help for himself? Labeouf was arrested in November 2007 when he (while appearing to be drunk) refused to leave a Chicago area Walgreens.

Or, did Shia attend the AA meeting last night to show support for a friend?

Whatever the reason for his presence, he and a handful of other AA attendees seemed to be in good spirits after the meeting, dropping into a nearby Starbucks to (hopefully) pull a Shirley MacLaine (which of course means to trade alcohol for coffee).

We hope Shia (or his pal) is on the path to getting things nice and even... Steven.
