Early this morning, Britney Spears was admitted to the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA Westwood Medical Center.

British heartthrob Orlando Bloom zipped around LA yesterday in a black Audi S6 V10. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star was dressed all in black, matching his ride, which retails at $72,000. The actor has been laying low as of late, but is scheduled to be a presenter at England's BAFTA Award ceremony (the British equivalent of the Oscars) on February 10. Many stateside actors are crossing the pond for the ceremony, so they can wear their Oscar duds on at least one red carpet next month!

Ellen Pompeo was caught revealing a little more than she intended as she and hubby Chris Ivery were getting ready to head out to LAX yesterday. The "Grey's Anatomy" star's little wardrobe malfunction could have been prevented with a bra - maybe she thought that since the shirt was dark, that her chest wouldn't peek through. Sorry TV doc, wrong diagnosis! Fortunately, Ellen discovered the error of her ways and covered up the sheer top with a hoodie before heading out to the airport.

"How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka spotted sipping on Starbucks coffee while exiting New York's JFK airport, are Broadway bound. The pair is in the Big Apple taking part in "Broadway Backwards 3," a concert benefiting NY's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center. The two are performing a duet on stage for the first time together (David met Neil on the set of "HIMYM," when he guest-starred on the sitcom). No word on what they're still singing, but please guys, give "Dreamgirls" tunes a break, please?

Kim Kardashian is one good girlfriend! The reality vixen and Playboy model arrived in her new Bentley convertible to custom car creators Platinum Motorsports on Melrose Avenue in LA where she picked up her beau, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. Reggie is putting his Cadillac Escalade in the capable hands of the Platinum crew to be totally tricked out. A "pimped" Escalade is fine, but just don't let Kim "pimp" that Bentley - it's perfect just the way it is!

Lindsay Lohan is bidding adieu to the Big Apple and was spotted checking out of the ritzy Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan yesterday. The actress, immediately recognizable with her blond extensions and signature leggings, was accompanied by a luggage cart that appeared to be working extra hard to support Lindsay's luggage, designer bags and recent purchases. I wonder if Brody Jenner is packed up in there somewhere?

With the New York leg of promotion for her new film "The Eye" complete, actress Jessica Alba is back to her sullen self. The mom-to-be and her fiancee Cash Warren did not look happy to see the photographers who greeted them at LAX upon their return home from the Big Apple. Jessica's supernatural thriller opens in theaters tomorrow, so hopefully the actress, who's 5 months pregnant, can get some rest and re-emerge with a smiling face!

Grauman's Chinese Theater hosted the LA premiere of the new action-adventure flick "Fool's Gold" last night and the red carpet resembled a treasure chest full of stars. Stars Matthew McConaughey, accompanied by his pregnant girlfriend, Brazilian model Camila Alves, and Kate Hudson, looking more and more like mom Goldie Hawn every day brought a golden glow to the Hollywood night. The film's co-stars, Donald Sutherland, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Alexis Dziena also attended the screening of the flick, which will begin the hunt for "box office booty" tomorrow.

Model and actress Brooke Burke, also on the long list of Hollywood's expectant mommies, takes time out for a little pampering at Polish in Brentwood, California with an also-expecting friend. The beautiful Brooke, who's expecting baby number 4 (her second with French-born actor David Charvet) got a manicure and pedicure at the salon. Well, obviously she got a pedicure, she can't reach her toes anymore with that big baby bump in the way!

Britney Spears, for the second time this month, is in the hospital. TMZ reports that Britney was visited by her new psychiatrist last night and, determining the singer, already diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, was "a danger to herself and others",  had her committed to the UCLA Medical Center. Once again, cops, paramedics, photographers -  and Bobby Trendy - descended on Britney's home, but this time the singer was reportedly calm, cool and collected as she was taken to the hospital.

Earlier this morning, an L.A. County Superior Court judge signed a "5150" order, putting the singer on a three-day psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center. During the 72 hour time period, Brit can't be forced to take any medicine against her will, so there is a "good possibility" that the hold will be extended to 14 days, where medication can then be administered, even if Britney refuses it. Meanwhile, there's an ongoing fight between Brit's parents and her "friend" Sam Lutfi as to who will be making medical decisions regarding the singer. This story's far from over!

Violet Affleck, at 2-years-old, is already starting to tease photographers by hiding her face when they attempt to get her picture! Not really, the adorable daughter of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck was really just fixing her hair as her mom took her to Brentwood Market in California yesterday. Violet, voted the cutest celebrity baby of 2007, just wants to make sure she always looks her best in front of the cameras - mom's trained her well!

Katherine Heigl managed to spend a few hours away from her newlywed love nest and spent the evening out in Hollywood with hubby Josh Kelley to celebrate the singer's 28th birthday. The pair began their night with dinner at uber-trendy Asian eatery Katsuya, which obviously doesn't have an indoor smoking section - Kat was spotted chain smoking cigarettes outside of the restaurant with friends. The couple then moved the celebration to S-Bar before taking a cab home. That Katherine is a wise lady to leave the party-time driving to someone else!

Paris Hilton turned a walk through Times Square into an impromptu photo shoot as she left the Ritz Carlton and made her way to MTV's Manhattan studios. The heiress is playing actress this week, promoting her comedy "The Hottie and the Nottie" which opens in theaters next Friday. Paris' media tour brought her to the music network, where she made an appearance on the popular show "TRL." Why all the promotion in NY and not LA? Could it be that NY's Fashion Week is a mere 2 days away?

Eva Longoria, looking pretty in pink, was the center of attention on the red carpet at Hollywood's ArcLight Theater last night, for the premiere of her ghostly comedy "Over Her Dead Body." Eva's "Desperate Housewives" co-stars Felicity Huffman, Brenda Strong and Nicollette Sheridan (who seemed more content to fool with beau Michael Bolton's nose) were in attendance to lend their support for the film, which marks Eva's big screen debut. Early reviews haven't been too favorable, so who knows if the film has a "ghost of a chance" at the box office?

Gwen Stefani, who we have just learned is expecting her second child with rocker Gavin Rossdale, arrived back at LAX yesterday and is already beginning to camouflage her baby bump, hiding it behind a jacket. The stylish singer, who is 12 weeks pregnant, is said to be excited about bringing her son Kingston a baby brother or sister - they don't know the gender of the bun in the oven as of yet. But, boy or girl, it's bound to be one fashionable baby!

Avril Lavigne traded the chilly weather of her native Canada for the sunny skies of Miami Beach as she, hubby Deryck Whibley, older brother Matt and his girlfriend invaded the Sunshine State for a little vacation. Avril spent quite a bit of time with the gal who could be her future sister-in-law, walking on the beach and frolicking in the pool, all the while enjoying tropical libations. The singer's still got plenty of time to rest up - her "2008 Best Damn Tour!" cranks up on March 5 in Victoria, BC.

Fitness fanatic Madonna once again makes the daily pilgrimage to her private London gym for a workout, continuing her quest to be the most buff female musician on the planet. She's already the richest - a new Forbes.com story says that she earned $72 million from June of 2006 to June of 2007, making her the wealthiest female musician - over powerhouses Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion. What's next for the Material Girl? Rumor has it that she's performing at the Super Bowl half-time show. She's so fit, she could probably play in the game!

Usually reserved actor Johnny Depp got a touch of "Sweeney Todd" in him yesterday and got into a confrontation with a photographer in LA. The actor was scouting possible movie locations in the city for his upcoming flick "Public Enemies," where Johnny plays gun-toting bank robber John Dillinger. He checked out Musso and Frank Grill and then left the area in an SUV. Feeling he was being followed, Depp ordered the driver to stop the car in the middle of the street and the angry actor got out of his vehicle to confront his paparazzi pursuer. I wouldn't mess with Johnny - the quiet ones can be the most dangerous!

James Gandolfini, fresh off his SAG Award victory and his fiancee Deborah Lin arrived at JFK on Tuesday. As the tired traveler walked through the terminal, he shoved an annoying autograph seeker, who was also hounding Rumer Willis in the terminal (see the previous post!) The actor, feeling some un-mobster-like remorse later apologized, shook hands with the fan, and posed for a picture with him. This guy is lucky James wasn't "in character!"

Celebu-spawn Rumer Willis arrived in New York's JFK airport early Tuesday morning after a red-eye flight from LA. Rumer is just one of the many celebrities - and pseudo-celebs descending on the Big Apple for Fashion Week, which kicks off on Friday. If there's one lady who needs a fashion intervention, it's Miss Rumer!  She's copying some pop culture icons with her travel ensemble - I see Amy Winehouse-inspired ballerina flats and some Lohan-like leggings!
